Handling methods for material jamming during the use of multi blade saws

Multi blade saw is a processing equipment that can quickly cut wood, and its application field is also very wide, involving all aspects of rough wood processing.

With the popularity of multi blade saws, more and more wood processing plants choose to use multi blade saws for processing. However, due to the limitations of multi blade sawing in processing wood, as well as factors such as varying sizes, lengths, and often stuttering on the wood, multi blade saws may experience material jamming and burning during the production process.

There are generally several situations where material jamming occurs:

1. The feed wood is too large to exceed the limit of multiple saws. During the cutting process, the wood rubs against the specification sleeve on the spindle, causing the spindle speed to be insufficient and the cutting force to be small, resulting in the wood being stuck and often emitting smoke.

2. The feeding round wood has stutters, and the stutters rub against the specification sleeve on the spindle, causing the spindle speed to be insufficient and the cutting force to be small, causing the wood to stick and often emitting smoke.

3. The feeding wood is often short, and during short material cutting, the feeding pressure wheel passes over the wood before it reaches the rear pressure wheel, causing the front section of the wood to sink and get stuck at the discharge port.

4. Insufficient sharpness of the saw blade or using a saw blade that is too thin can also lead to material sticking.

After a material jam occurs, the emergency stop button should be pressed in a timely manner to turn off the power. After all parts of the machine have completely stopped running, observe the position of the stuck wood, lift the bulletproof device, press the jog return button, and exit the wood. If the wood is still stuck, you can take a previously sawn piece of wood and extend it into the discharge port to support the return of the wood.

When using a multi blade saw to process wood, it is necessary to select the suitable wood for processing, and the saw blade needs to be sharpened after 8 hours of operation. This can ensure that there is no jamming or burning of the multi blade saw during use.
